Why Women Are Special...?
Husband & Wife were watching TV when Wife said, "I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed."
She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches.
Rinsed out the bowls, took vegetable out of the freezer for morning, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and
bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.
She then ironed a shirt and secured a loose button.
She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer.
She emptied a waste basket and hung up a towel to dry.
She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom.
She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher and pulled a text book out from hiding under the chair.
She signed a birthday card for a friend, Addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store.
She put both near her bag. Then she washed her face, put on her moisturizer, brushed her teeth.....
Husband called out,
"I thought you were going to bed."
"I'm on my way," she said.
She put some water into the dog's dish, then made sure the doors were locked.
She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and radios, and had a brief conversation with one kid who is still up doing homework.
In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day.
Said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals. about that time,
Husband turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular.
"I'm going to bed."
And he did... without another thought.

ReplyDeleteThe next morning the man got up. Washed, shaved and dressed. Kissed his snoring wife goodbye who, at one point, almost opened an eye. He gave one of his kids a cuddle who had woken at such an early hour. He went down stairs and put the rubbish bin out for collection. He then headed for the 6.30 train to go to work.
ReplyDeleteOn the way he checked and locked the car door of the the car sitting on the drive. He removed his wife's handbag that she left in full view and then went bag in the house to leave it safe. He then started his walk again to the station, now late so having to jog half the way.
The wife got up an hour later at 7.30am and got the kids to school and then watched Jeremy Kyle followed by a marathon of 'The real housewives' that she had recorded on catchup before having a coffee in the afternoon with the neighbour. After school she got the eldest son to babysit whilst she went to the gym and sauna.
The man, after work, and then the extra work he did, he finally got the train home at 7.30 pm. He arrived home at 8.45 and walked in to listen immediately to his wife tell him the day she had about little Jimmy dropping his lunch, we need to go shopping at the weekend and can we get measured up for new curtains. Having pretended to listen, he then ate his evening meal, dried up and barely warm at 9.15pm.
The man then went to sit down in the living room to relax at moment, at which point his wife said, "I'm off to bed....."
And so the cycle continues.....
Please remember, perception is a very personal thing. Marriage is a partnership between two people. Both have an equal input, it's not a competition. Recently I was off work for a two month period. I don't know how my wife does what she does. She will be the first to tell you that she could never, and would never, do my job and such long days away from my kids. But together, we do.
